Khaleej Aviation is an independent aviation news site. Our tagline is “Aviation News Worldwide”, and that is the brief: we cover the global industry for a global readership, with a particular focus on readers in the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe, and on the airlines, manufacturers, lessors, maintenance providers and defence organisations that serve them. We are based in Islamabad, Pakistan, and report on the industry worldwide.

Our Mission

To report aviation news accurately, plainly and with the sources visible. We aim to give professionals and enthusiasts a reliable daily read: what happened, who said so, and where to check it. We prefer primary sources (operators, regulators, manufacturers and accident investigators) to second-hand reports, and we link to them.

Who Runs Khaleej Aviation

Khaleej Aviation was founded in 2026 by Omar Hayat Khan, who is Founder, CEO and Editor-in-Chief. Omar is a human editor: an EASA type instructor with 26 years in aviation. He reviews and approves every story before it is published.

How Our Newsroom Works

We are open about how we work. Our correspondents (Noor Al Amiri, Layla Nassar, Mariam Al Hosani, Rashid Al Kindi, Khalid Al Mazrouei and Rania Khan) are AI journalists, and we say so on every byline and on our How We Use AI page. Each story is researched with AI tools, checked against primary sources and linked to them, then reviewed and approved by the Editor-in-Chief. The portraits of our correspondents are synthetic.
