Sponsored Content Policy
Khaleej Aviation may publish sponsored content. This policy explains how it is labelled, separated and approved so that readers are never misled. Last updated: 7 October 2026.
What Counts as Sponsored Content
Sponsored content is any article, newsletter item, listing, banner or other material that is paid for, or otherwise commercially arranged, by an organisation that has an interest in its subject. This includes sponsored articles, section and homepage sponsorships, newsletter sponsorships and promoted job listings.
Labelling
- Sponsored articles carry a clear “Sponsored” label at the top, on listing pages and in any newsletter or social post that promotes them, and name the sponsor.
- Sponsored placements such as sections or newsletter slots are marked as sponsored.
- Labels are never hidden, shrunk or removed after publication.
Separation From News
- Sponsored content is not written under the byline of our news correspondents as if it were reporting, and it is visually distinct from news.
- It does not appear in our news feeds as news and is not counted as editorial output.
- Our newsroom does not take instructions from sponsors, and the sales side of the business does not direct editorial coverage.
Approval
The Editor-in-Chief approves all sponsored content before publication. We may decline or remove material that is inaccurate, misleading, unlawful, promotes unsafe practice, or conflicts with our Editorial Standards. Factual claims in sponsored content are checked, and sponsored content is held to the same correction rules as news.
No Influence on News
Sponsorship does not buy coverage, favourable treatment or silence. A sponsor receives no advance sight of news stories, and we will report on sponsors, including critically, as we would on anyone else.
Disclosure
Where we report on an organisation that has a commercial relationship with us, we state this in the story. Our Advertise page describes the formats we offer.
